Minuteman II Launch at Vandenberg Scheduled 3/20/2007
Military officials announced Tuesday that a missile launch is scheduled to take place in the evening.
The launch will take place at about 8:30 p.m. at the North Vandenberg Launch Facility.
Spectators should be able to see the configured Minuteman II intercontinental ballistic missile launch from hundreds of miles away. It could be visible from as far away as Arizona, Nevada and northern Mexico.
Officials said the launch is part of a sensitive missile defense test, so the countdown will not be made public.
